President's Message
Reflecting on the 2024-25 academic year
President Ginsberg sent the following message to the TU community to celebrate the final day of classes
Tigers:
On this final day of classes, I am filled with gratitude and pride for all we’ve accomplished together this year. We’ve navigated many challenges—faced with global conflicts, federal policy changes and economic uncertainties. Yet time and again, our community has risen to meet each moment with resilience, unity and purpose.

Thanks to each of you, our momentum remains stronger than ever.
Our students have earned national recognition for their achievements. Our faculty have excelled as leaders in their disciplines. And our staff have lifted us all with their tireless support. This year, TU was ranked among the top public universities in the nation—a testament to our record of academic excellence and our impact as an “engine of opportunity.”
We opened our state-of-the-art Health Professions Building—an investment not just in our campus infrastructure but in the future of health care for our region and in the preparation of tomorrow’s leaders.
We proudly cheered on our student athletes as they brought home championships, and we were inspired by art exhibits and performances that have enriched our campus and our community.

We celebrated a record-setting Big Give, raising nearly $1 million to fuel the people and programs that define our excellence. And in just a few short days, we will proudly confer degrees to 2,851 graduates—Tigers who will join nearly 200,000 alumni across the globe making a difference in our society.
The success of our university lies in our people, and this year, you’ve demonstrated that in countless ways. While there are challenges still ahead, they are matched—and exceeded—by the opportunities we have together.
Thank you for your commitment to each other, your perseverance during trying times and your belief in the power of education. Most of all, thank you for helping to make this another historic year at Towson University.
I wish you a safe, restful and rewarding summer. Go Tigers!
Sincerely,
Mark R. Ginsberg, Ph.D.
President
