Hello! My name is Desiree Braddock and I am double majoring in History and Political Science with a minor in Human Rights and History. I am also taking my opportunity at Toson to learn Arabic. Around my busy schedule I participate in clubs such as the YDSA, Urban Farm and Phi Alpha Theta. I have just recently joined the CLA Dean's Student Advisory Council this year and hope to use my time here to encourage communication between CLA students and staff members, as well as advocating for improvements within the department. I am happy to talk to anyone who needs advice or just a simple conversation; you can contact me at . Have a great semester!

Hi! My name is Carson Brooks (he/him), and I am a first-year master's student in the M.A. in Psychology, Clinical Concentration program at Towson University. I am employed through the CLA as a Teaching Assistant and am also involved in a few research labs centered around multiculturalism, LGBTQIA+ health equity, and intimate partner violence. Outside of school, I love to lift weights, read psychology novels, and complete work at coffee shops. My personal and professional passions have instilled a motivating drive for helping students succeed academically and making the higher education experience more equitable, especially for historically marginalized communities. By joining the Dean's Student Advisory Council, I hope to serve as a voice and advocate for the graduate (and undergraduate) student body by engaging in constructive dialogue about our college. I specifically want to address student concerns relevant to mental health, the ongoing sociopolitical climate, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. You can reach me at if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!

Hi! My name is Arielle Cannon. I'm currently a Senior majoring in Sociology with a Cultural Studies minor. Additionally, I work as the Undergrad Assistant for Student Success in CLA. I am interested in learning about other students' experience in the College of Liberal Arts and helping with any problems they might be having. Outside of CLA, I am the President of the TU Kpop Dance Club and the Treasurer of the Korean American Student Association. I can help students find ways to get involved on campus and find clubs that match their interests. Feel free to contact me through email at any time, . I wish everyone a good academic year!

Hi! My name is Shelby Cole and I’m from a small town in New Jersey. I’m currently a senior undergraduate English major (writing concentration) and Biology minor— I am also an accelerated graduate student in TU’s Professional Writing Master’s program, on the technical writing and science communication track (PRWR). As for work, I’m a grant writer with a Towson University English Dept. project, Grantwriting In Valued Environments (GIVE), where I collaborate with local grass-root non-profits and write grants for underserved communities in the Baltimore area. As a member of the DSAC, I’d like to further my experience in the advocacy sector by advocating for those in this very building. We all have the right to voice our opinions and I’d like to help to amplify those voices! When I’m not doing school or job related work, I’m usually hanging out with friends, going to see movies, eating at restaurants, and watching YouTube with a coffee in hand. You can talk to me about anything; I have a lot of random knowledge!

I have been on the team since my freshman year, serving as the Community Service Chair since my freshman spring semester. I find tremendous joy and responsibility in giving back to the local Baltimore region. I am also a student employee at The Office of Sustainability Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ, working with the office to provide GIS tools for students and faculty - I have worked to recreate the TU Campus Green Map (found on the TU Sustainability website).
